Things to Do in the RGV This Weekend: October 23-25, 2026

Dia de los Muertos takes over this weekend. On Saturday night, Edinburg hosts the free Los Muertos Bailan festival from 6 to 10 PM at Promenade Park, with a procession at 7 PM and Pee Wee on stage at 8:40 PM. In Brownsville, Fiesta de Vida brings mariachi, an ofrenda and guided tours to the Old City Cemetery starting at 7 PM, and the 1-Mile Mariposa family run follows on Sunday morning at Market Square.

The McAllen Fall Festival keeps going, and Friday night has a Halloween show at the Lone Star Theater in Pharr. Saturday morning is the usual farmers market run: McAllen, Brownsville, Harlingen and the Hub of Prosperity in Edinburg are all open, and the South Padre Island market is on Sunday.
